Students at the MRC Biostatistics Unit are excited to invite you to our hybrid symposium on Biostatistics for chronic diseases. The keynote lecture will be delivered by Vincent Plagnol (Genomics PLC ), and is entitled The potential for genomics to empower a new prevention-first agenda for healthcare. We also have talks by: Hélène Ruffieux, Stephen Burgess, Oscar Rueda and Francesa Gasperoni (members of the MRC Biostatistics Unit) as well as Guillermo Reales (Department of medicine, University of Cambridge), Lois Kim (Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit, University of Cambridge), and Manuela Zucknick (Oslo Centre for Biostatistics and Epidemiology, University of Oslo). Please note, the Workshop and Lecture will run as a hybrid event with the option to attend either in-person or virtually.
