He holds the concurrent charge as Director, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata, since November 1992. The irreversible consequences of global warming and dramatic climate change are recognized world over. The new paradigm rests on an adiabatic shift from coal and oil burning energy resources to nuclear and solar power. The nuances of the nuclear and solar renaissance will be presented.
