James Wood’s talk will explore over a decade of collaborative investigations of diseases thought to be transmitted between animals and humans (so called ‘zoonoses’) in sub-Saharan Africa. It will highlight the importance of working with local experts in different settings and the benefits to Cambridge Science, as well as to that of African collaborators supported by the Cambridge-Africa programme.
