If you have a question about this talk, please contact info. The Cambridge Bahá’í community has organised a series of talks and discussions on several core principles and teachings of the Bahá’í Faith, entitled “Principles for a Better World”. Talks will take place on Wednesdays from 8-9:30pm from mid-January to mid-April on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. All talks are free and open to all, and light refreshments will be served. The title of this talk is “Spiritual education: Is there more to learning than what schools teach us?” . The education that we obtain in schools helps us to know about maths, sciences, arts, languages, history, and much more. However, is that all that we need to know in order to be the best kind of person that we can be, and to make a meaningful difference in the world? According to the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith, there is another type of education, based on learning about spiritual principles and how to put them into practice in our daily lives, which is equally, if not more, important. Could this be what it means to be truly human? “The well-being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established.” This talk is part of the Cambridge University Bahá'í Society series.
