Professor Robert Shiller will present the 2018 Marshall Lectures the title for the Marshall Lectures overall will be Economic Narratives: How Bimetallism and Bitcoin Went Viral.

First lecture title “Macroeconomics and the History of Popular Economic Thought” Second lecture title “Bimetallism, Bitcoin, Marx, Keynes, and Other Examples.”

The annual Marshall Lectures is a major event in the Faculty annual calendar and honours Professor Alfred Marshall, one of the most influential economists in the history of the subject. The lectures will take place in the Lady Mitchell Hall on Wednesday 14 November at 5:00-6:00pm, and on Thursday 15 Novemver at 5:00-6:30pm.
