If you have a question about this talk, please contact Ms Clare Francis. Dr. Julian Huppert, who served as MP for Cambridge from 2010-2015 and completed his PhD in chemistry under Shankar Balasubramanian, will be speaking on scientific matters with political zest – or vice versa. Dr. Huppert will discuss science, politics and how we can combine the two to create effective, evidence-based policy; a talk sure to be entertaining for scientists and politicians alike. The event is co-hosted by Trinity Politics Society and Trinity College Science Society, and will be held at Winstanley Lecture Theatre. To access the venue, enter the gate on the opposite side of the road from Great Gate, turn right, head upstairs, and take the second left turn. There will be signs directing you to ‘Winstanley Theatre’. Doors will open at 18:00 with refreshments provided, and the talk will begin at 18:15.
