OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project) Cambridge Chapter in conjunction with Anglia Ruskin University, Department of Computing and Technology, hosts a number of chapter meetings, events and conferences every year during term time (around one per quarter).

We usually have a number of speakers from industry and academia talking on IT Security related topics especially around application security and secure coding techniques.
