“Friends of Milton Country Park” (http://miltoncountrypark.org/) was created in 1993 at the same time as the Park itself, with the aim of promoting education, conservation and recreation at the Park. Over the years, the Friends have organised events, raised money, and given Park users a say in the way the Park has been run. Unsurprisingly the Friends were very active in the campaign to save the Park from closure in 2007.
