Education and the State: The State of Education

Add to your list(s) Send you e-mail reminders

In 1984, the Faculty of Education ran the seminal series of lectures ‘Education and the State: The State of Education’. Education policy was approaching a period of significant political change and the lecture series provided an opportunity to discuss the consequence of this change for future education provision. Twenty five years later, and we are facing another turning point in the history of Education and its relationship to the state. To acknowledge this and to provoke a discussion as to the educational issues we face, we have once again assembled key thinkers and critics to share with us their views for the future of Education and the State.
