DESCRIPTION:Dr Del-Zanna will briefly present some observations of the sol
 ar corona\, from the early days when it was only observed during eclipses 
 in the visible\, to recent space missions in the X-rays and UV. He will ex
 plain how future observatories will tackle the main science questions\, an
 d how the (still mostly unexplored) visible/infrared region of the solar s
 pectrum is receiving a lot of attention.
