DESCRIPTION:Part of the CMIH short course on Image Reconstruct
ion in Biomedical Imaging\n\nAbstract: The course
will provide an introduction to state-of-the art m
ethods for image reconstruction in biomedical imag
ing and its applications\, with an outlook to chal
lenging problems in current research. The series w
ill start with an introductory part providing an o
verview of different image modalities and the math
ematical formulation of the corresponding image re
construction problems\, before proceeding to a dis
 cussion of variational regularization methods.\n\n
In the second half of the course we will discuss m
odern high-dimensional problems related to dynamic
and spectral imaging. Particular focus will be pu
t on motion correction techniques and their use. F
inally we will give a perspective on multimodality
  imaging.
