DESCRIPTION:John Cornwell\, a former seminarian\, is well known today as o
 ne of the most eloquent defenders of religious faith from the militant ath
 eism of Richard Dawkins (_The God Delusion_). Cornwell's own bestselling b
 ooks include  _Hitler's Scientists_ (2003)\, _Hitler's Pope_ (1999)\, _The
  Pontiff in Winter_ (2002)\, and his latest\, _Darwin's Angel_ (2007)\, a 
 riposte to Dawkins and a defence of every person's right\, if not to belie
 ve in God\, to `doubt their doubt'. John Cornwell's autobiographical accou
 nt of his training for the priesthood is published as _Seminary Boy_ (2006
