DESCRIPTION:There is little consensus on a standard experimental design fo
 r the \ncompound noun interpretation task. I'll introduce well-motivated g
eneral \ndesiderata for semantic annotation schemes\, and describe such a
 scheme \nfor in-context compound annotation. A dual-annotator annotation \
nexperiment has yielded good agreement given the difficulty of the task. \
nClassification experiments on an open-text dataset compare favourably \nw
ith previously reported results on other datasets and provide a solid \nba
seline for future research (which I'll also briefly mention).\n
