 search that addresses one of the fundamental problems in biology. Studies 
 of the dynamic and energetic features of folding and assembly are key to u
 nderstanding protein function\, design and the origin of misfolding diseas
 es. Consequently\, few other fields have seen such a successful blend of p
 hysical and biological sciences\; of experiment and theory.  Underpinning 
 all of this work is our understanding of protein evolution. This internati
