DESCRIPTION:*There are many actions researchers can take to increase the o
penness and reproducibility of their work. Please join us for a workshop\,
hosted by the Office of Scholarly Communication in collaboration with the
Center for Open Science\, to learn easy\, practical steps researchers can
take to increase the reproducibility of their work.*\n\nLed by Courtney S
oderberg\, The workshop will be hands-on. Using example studies\, attendee
s will actively participate in creating a reproducible project from start
to finish. Courtney is the Statistical and Methodological Consultant at th
e Center for Open Science and heads up their training programs for reprodu
cible research methods. She has a Ph.D. in Experimental Social Psychology
with a minor in Quantitative Psychology from UC Davis.\n\nThis workshop is
aimed at graduate students and postdocs\, across disciplines\, who are en
gaged in quantitative research. The workshop does not require any speciali
zed knowledge of programming. Participants will gain a foundation for inco
rporating reproducible\, transparent practices into their current workflow
 s.\n\n*Topics covered*\n\n* Project documentation\n* Version control\n* Pr
e-Analysis plans\n* Open source tools like the Center for Open Science’s
Open Science Framework to easily implement these concepts in a scientific
  workflow.\n\nBook here: https://www.training.cam.ac.uk/osc/event/2077989
