DESCRIPTION:CAMSED is pleased to invite you to an event with Professor Jef
 frey Sachs. \n\nProfessor Sachs will discuss the challenges for the world 
 economy in the face of the Brexit and the outcome of US elections. Do they
  herald a fundamental change of the development policy? What can we expect
 ?\n\nThe format of the event will be a 45 minute presentation followed by 
 an hour long Q&A session. It will be a great chance to ask him questions a
 bout any burning topics.\n\nJeffrey D. Sachs is a world-renowned professor
  of economics\, leader in sustainable development\, senior UN advisor\, be
 stselling author\, and syndicated columnist whose monthly newspaper column
 s appear in more than 100 countries. He is the co-recipient of the 2015 Bl
 ue Planet Prize\, the leading global prize for environmental leadership. H
 e has twice been named among Time Magazine’s 100 most influential world 
 leaders. He was called by the New York Times\, “probably the most import
 ant economist in the world\,” and by Time Magazine “the world’s best
  known economist.” A recent survey by The Economist Magazine ranked Prof
 essor Sachs as among the world’s three most influential living economist
 s of the past decade.\n\nProfessor Sachs served as the Director of the Ear
 th Institute from 2002 to 2016. He was appointed University Professor at C
 olumbia University in 2016\, and also serves as Quetelet Professor of Sust
 ainable Development\, and Professor of Health Policy and Management at Col
 umbia University. He is Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-Genera
 l Ban Ki-moon on the Sustainable Development Goals\, and previously advise
 d both UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and UN Secretary-General Kofi Anna
 n on the Millennium Development Goals. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the
  International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis in Laxenburg\, Austri
 a. Sachs is currently Director of both the Center for Sustainable Developm
 ent\, and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network under the auspi
