DESCRIPTION:I will describe recent progress in the Cryogenic Instrumentati
 on for Quantum Electronics (CIQE) EPSRC Basic Technology project. This pro
 ject has provided a custom dilution refidgerator with cryogenic CMOS measu
 rement electronics\, enabling a four orders of magnitude improvement in me
 asurement speed compared to conventional room temperature electronics. As 
 an example\, I will show a single shot measurement of a single electron ex
 citation within an SOI SET.
