 Dr. Barsky joined Havensack University Health Netw
 ork in 2015\, and was last year named as one of 50
  US experts leading patient safety http://www.beck
 ershospitalreview.com/50-experts-leading-the-field
 -of-patient-safety-2016/carol-barsky-16. Before ta
 king on her current role\, she worked at Yale-New 
 Haven (Conn.) Hospital\, where she was Medical Dir
 ector for Clinical Performance and Associate Chief
  of Patient Safety and Quality. She trained in eme
 rgency medicine at the Albert Einstein College of 
 Medicine in New York\, and earned an MBA from Yale
  School of Management. Dr. Barsky has also been th
 e Vice Chair and Medical Director at Mount Sinai M
 edical Center in New York. There\, she coordinated
  the hospital's response to 9/11. She also redesig
 ned the hospital's emergency department\, overseei
 ng the instillation of New York City’s first compl
 etely electronic medical record. Her talk will foc
 us on her experiences of improving health systems.
