DESCRIPTION:A central problem in homological algebra is the cl
assification of rings and algebras up to derived e
quivalence. If we are working with finite dimensi
onal algebras over a field\, it is useful to repre
sent such algebras as bound quiver algebras.\nIn m
y talk I will first recall the definitions of deri
ved category and derived equivalences\, with parti
cular attention to equivalences induced by Okuyama
-Rickard complexes. Then I will define the main s
ubjects of my research\, "higher zigzag-algebras"\
, as bound quiver algebras. I will discuss how th
e underlying quiver of a higher zigzag algebra can
change under a derived equivalence induced by an
Okuyama-Rickard complex.
