 t the dynamic characteristics of the architectural environment are a key a
 spect of good design\, yet one which is not well anticipated or understood
 . Environmental diversity is a design consideration closely related to our
  experience of architecture - an architecture of the senses. Based on rese
 arch findings\, this presentation is an antidote to the misconceptions of 
 an ‘average’ occupant or of ‘optimum' environmental criteria\, inste
 ad embracing the richness of environmental diversity.
