DESCRIPTION:Energy is essential to every aspect of our economic and social
  well-being. Today\, the world faces two big challenges: climate change an
 d security of energy supplies. To tackle the dual problems of the declinin
 g energy resources and the threat of climate change we need a mix of new t
 echnologies to generate ‘clean’ energy and an updated energy infrastru
 cture that can cope with future demand. The Horizon Seminar entitled ‘En
 ergy: What Does the Future Hold?’ will showcase latest research in energ
 y technology and policy. Leading experts from a range of disciplines will 
 address key issues and detail the latest scientific advances and new think
 ing in this field.
