DESCRIPTION:In this talk I will introduce the notion of semicalibrated cur
 rents and\ngive some examples. After that I will present some regularity r
 esults\,\nwhich are analogous to the ones for area minimizing currents. Fi
 nally I\nwill try to give an idea of the proof of the following fact: the 
 singular\nset of a two dimensional semicalibrated current is locally finit
 e. In\nparticular I will explain what are the center manifold and the freq
 uency\nfunction\, and try to explain their roles in the proof.
