DESCRIPTION:Why do we care what time it is? Why does it matter if my clock
  doesn't give the same time as yours? How can we make sure they do give th
 e same time?\n\nThis talk will begin with a brief discussion of why accura
 te timekeeping is important in computer systems\, before focussing specifi
 cally on clock drift and Allan deviation. We shall then move on to a detai
 led exploration of the NTP and PTP algorithms for clock synchronisation\, 
 which forms the bulk of the talk.
