DESCRIPTION:This seminar explores the contemporary role of the European Sc
 hools\, institutions founded 60 years ago to educate the children of EU em
 ployees. We look at issues surrounding curriculum modernisation in the fac
 e of extensive and highly politicised stakeholder engagement. The seminar 
 then outlines a recent initiative aimed at reforming upper secondary provi
 sion\, which highlighted a number of important issues relevant to the broa
 der study of curriculum in the 21st century.
