DESCRIPTION:We consider ideal equal convergence of a sequence
of functions. \nThis is a generalization of equal
convergence introduced by\nCs'{a}sz'{a}r and Laczk
ovich. The independent\, equivalent definition was
introduced by Bukovsk{'a}. She called it quasi-no
rmal convergence. We study relationships between i
deal equal convergence and various kinds of ideal
convergences of sequences of real functions. \n\nW
e prove a characterization showing when the ideal
pointwise \nconvergence does not imply the ideal e
qual (aka quasi-normal) convergence. The character
ization is expressed in terms of a cardinal coeffi
cient related to the bounding number. Furthermore
we consider ideal version of the bounding number o
n sets from coideals.\n
