 Edward Kessler is Founder Director of the Woolf Institute\, Cambridge\, an
 d Fellow of St Edmund’s College. He is a leading thinker in interfaith r
 elations\, primarily Jewish-Christian-Muslim relations. He is the Vice-Cha
 ir of the Commission on Religion and Belief in British Public Life\, evalu
 ating the place and role of religion in contemporary Britain.\n\nHis talk 
 examines the changing religious landscape in Europe (and beyond)\, includi
 ng demographic changes in the recent past and trends in the future.  Kessl
 er considers the significance of these changes for European domestic and f
 oreign policy. He reflects on his work with the Foreign and Commonwealth O
 ffice’s Advisory Group on Freedom of Religion and Belief\, highlighting 
 new challenges for European diplomats.\n
