DESCRIPTION:The UK\, along with the rest of the world\, is facing an\nunpr
 ecedented set of challenges: a rapid transition\nto a low carbon energy sy
 stem\, climate change\,\ntechnological advancement and demographic change\
 nto name but a few. Successful responses demand that\nwe think differently
  about how we use land\, create\nplaces\, deliver infrastructure and gener
 ate growth.\nThese challenges place us at an exciting point in\nhistory. B
 y bringing together business\, academia\,\nthe public sector and communiti
 es we have the\nopportunity to solve these problems in ways that are\nsoci
 ally equitable and environmentally sustainable\nwhilst ensuring that the e
 conomy works for us.\nThis session will explore these issues and the\noppo
 rtunities for using our built environments\,\nlandscapes and infrastructur
 e in different ways and\nthe delivery mechanisms we have at our disposal t
 o\nmake change happen.\n\nRob leads LDA Design’s Futures and Solar teams
 . Rob\nworks with public\, private and community sectors to\nhelp them und
 erstand the spatial and organisational\nimplications of change. Rob has al
 so led some of the\nlargest and most challenging of renewable energy\nproj
 ects across the UK on behalf of many of the most\nsuccessful developers.
