 ic 2015\, will give a lecture on the construction of the role of Wotan in 
 Wagner's Ring cycle\, the role with which he made his debut on the Bayreut
 h stage. He will be in conversation with Patrick Carnegy\, author of Wagne
 r and the Art of Theatre (Yale University Press\, 2006).\n\nSir Tomlinson
 ’s lecture will be illustrated by his performance of a selection of Wota
 n’s music in the Ring\, accompanied by James Coleman.\n\nThis event is f
 ree and open to all. Places will be allocated on a first come\, first serv
