DESCRIPTION:Zinc oxide nanowires are a wide band gap semiconductor with pr
omising properties for nanowire hybride solar cells. It is possible to in
tegrate conducting polymers into the nanowire array matrix to produce sola
r cell devices. The growth conditions for ZnO nanowire arrays will be dis
cussed along with the choice of polymer. Initial solar cell device charac
 teristics will also be presented.
