DESCRIPTION:This talk discusses digital adaptive filters. We start by expl
 oring what digital filters are\, how they work\, and what their limitation
 s are. We then extend these ideas to introduce adaptive filters. We survey
  the main algorithms used to implement these filters\, and the different i
 mplementations of these algorithms. We weigh the pros and cons of these al
 gorithms\, and how they are suited to different applications.\n\nThe talk 
 will include interesting Matlab demonstrations of adaptive filters on soun
 d clips in order to remove noise and cancel echo. Lastly\, we look into so
 me other applications of digital filters\, like human EEG\, foetal monitor
 ing\, radar signal processing\, etc.
