DESCRIPTION:Presentation will be structured around 6 questions:\n\n1. What
  factors led to the decline of the city and the resulting fiscal crisis?\n
 \n2. What is the condition of the city\, today?\n\n3. What\, if any\, are 
 the strategic directions for Detroit?\n\n4. Who\, if anyone\, is currently
  in charge of the planning (and development) process in the city? And who 
 may be missed-out?\n\n5. Beyond bankruptcy\, are there resources that can 
 fund urban reconstruction?\n\n6. What can America (and other countries) le

 ies\, with an emphasis on governance and economic development in a metropo
 litan context. Recently completed a study of surface transportation option
 s between Detroit Metro airport and downtown. Scholarly research has inclu
 ded cross-national policy responses to urban decline\, with a detailed stu
 dy of how mid-west cities are responding to “shrinkage”.\n\n•	Public
