DESCRIPTION:Given a finite group G\, let Irr(G) denote the set of irreduci
 ble complex characters ofG\, and cd(G) the set of degrees of the character
 s in Irr(G). As many results inthe literature show\, there is a deep inter
 play between the group structure of Gand the arithmetical structure of cd(
 G)\, and a useful tool in this context isto attach some particular graphs 
 to the set cd(G). The aim of this talk is topresent some new results\, obt
 ained in a joint work with C. Casolo\, S. Dolfi andL. Sanus\, concerning t
 his subject\; in particular\, we will focus on finitesolvable groups whose
  (prime) character degree graph is connected with diameterthree.\n
