DESCRIPTION:The Africa Research Forum (ARF)\, is an interdisciplinary disc
ussion group for graduate students\, postdoctoral researchers\, visiting a
cademics\, and Cambridge University faculty members doing Africa-related r
esearch. Participants from academic disciplines across the humanities and
social sciences are welcome to attend our informal meetings. Rather than p
olished seminar papers\, we prefer rough ‘works-in-progress’\, which a
re pre-circulated a week ahead of the group discussion to enable participa
nts to have enough time to develop constructive comments.\n\nThe current c
onvenors of the ARF are Dr Zoe Groves (zg242@cam.ac.uk)\, an historian and
a Fellow at Peterhouse\, and Dr Ruth Watson ( riw21@cam.ac.uk)\, another
historian based at Clare College. Please contact Zoe or Ruth if you would
like to share your research work with us\, we’d be happy to hear from yo
 u. If you would like to receive notifications of upcoming presentations an
d copies of pre-circulated papers\, please sign up here: https://lists.cam
