DESCRIPTION:The Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom organ
 ises the 2nd Workshop 2014: “Academia & Industry: accelerating the impac
 t of research”\, which will be held next 18th of October at the Pavilion
  Hall in Hughes Hall College (Cambridge).\n\nOur five guest speakers will 
 discuss on the interplay between academia\, industry and Government both i
 n the UK and in Spain. There will be an emphasis about how a good idea fro
 m an academic laboratory can be translated into a business and the financi
 al sources to support your research business. The day-to-day life of scien
 tists in industry as compared with academia will also be discussed\, among
  other issues such as what skills are required in industry if an academic 
 is pursuing a career change or vice versa.\n
