DESCRIPTION:In this presentation\, I will introduce atmospheric bromine an
d its impact on atmospheric chemistry in both the troposphere and the stra
tosphere. The first part of the presentation will focus on very-short-live
d bromocarbons and their effects on recovery of the stratospheric ozone ho
le. Then I will move to polar region to introduce 'bromine explosion' even
ts and various mechanisms suggested in the past decades. To finish it\, I
will talk about uncertainties/difficulties in bromine simulation.
