DESCRIPTION:Is your generation really better off than everyone else? Are t
here really differences between generations at work? And what will the new
Generation Z (soon to be leaving college) be bringing to the party? In th
is breakfast seminar\, we will look at these questions and the implication
s for our workplaces.\n\nWe bring ourselves into the workplace each day wi
th all of our life experiences\, attitudes and personal values. We may no
t always be consciously aware of it but these personal views influence how
we interact with our colleagues\, customers and other people and can be a
source of misunderstanding or miscommunication. They also affect how we
see the workplace\, our engagement with our employer and our careers. One
filter on these different views can be seen through the generation we wer
 e born into.\n\nIn this breakfast seminar\, Cambridge-based HR consultant
Kelly Drewery shares her ground-breaking research into generational differ
ences in the business environment. Her research pinpoints the attitudes an
d assumptions that make each generation unique\, understanding the factors
that shape our lifelong attitudes to career\, employment and engagement -
from what we are willing to offer our employer to the deal we expect in r
eturn. We will look behind the current headlines on intergenerational con
flict\, with insights into what motivates the never had it so good Baby Bo
omer cohort heading towards the end of their careers\, through to the expe
ctations of never had it at all Gen Z youngsters now at the start of their
working lives.\n\nWant to explore this topic further?\n\nYou can complete
our short self-assessment tool to work out what generation you are in and
explore your own attitude towards work and your employer.\n\nWho's going
to find this Breakfast Briefing particularly interesting?\n\n HR and in
ternal communications professionals\n Managers of multi-generational te
ams\n Senior managers keen to create the work and reward packages th
at will encourage the next generation of Cambridge innovators\n\nFor mo
