DESCRIPTION:The Queen's Medal for Poetry (2012) is one of *John Agard's* m
 any awards for poetry. Originally from Guyana\, John has made his home in 
 the UK for many years. As a popular poet for children\, teenagers and adul
 ts alike\, John is in great demand internationally as a performer. He is a
  founding member of the Caribbean Poetry Project based at the Centre for C
 ommonwealth Education\, Cambridge Faculty of Education.  Some recent publi
 cations include _Travel Light\, Travel Dark _(2013)\, _Goldilocks on CCTV_
  (2011) and _Half-Caste and Other Poems_(2005).
