DESCRIPTION:This event will provide both a presentation about Lesson Study
  used to support problem solving and discussion about the potential for sc
 hools to get involved in further work in this area.\n\nGeoff Wake\, from t
 he University of Nottingham\, will describe how lesson study has been used
  to research and develop students' problem solving skills and set out plan
 s for a new\, Nuffield funded\, research project that takes forward and ex
 pands on work to-date.\n\nThis will be followed by an opportunity to discu
 ss possibilities of getting involved in the work of the new project at a l
 ocal level in partnership with the University of Cambridge Faculty of Educ
 ation and NRich Project.\n
