DESCRIPTION:The positions of the planets\, ancient human writi
ngs\, and bus queuing behaviour are all instances
of evidence. (So are spotty tongues\, hygrometer r
eadouts\, and fresh dung.) What unites them? Is it
the relations each have to something else\; to cl
aims\, perspectives\, or theories? Is it how we us
e them? Can they really all be the same thing? Th
e focus of our discussion will be on the enormous
variety of things ordinarily classed as evidence\,
how to even begin thinking about the question of
what evidence is\, and what a general theory might
  hope to achieve.
