DESCRIPTION:The group of autoequivalences of the derived category of an al
 gebraic variety is\nimportant to understand for various reasons\, for exam
 ple in the context of mirror symmetry.\nHowever\, it is understood only in
  very few examples. \nI will describe recent joint work with Tom Bridgelan
 d\, in which we determine this group for\nprojective K3 surfaces of Picard
  rank one. The proof is based on a geometric argument: we\nprove that the 
 space of stability conditions for such K3 surfaces is connected and simply
 -connected.\n\nThis talk is part of the Cambridge-Oxford-Warwick (COW) sem
