DESCRIPTION:In this talk we deal with the long-time behavior of solutions 
 to the homogeneous Landau equation with hard potentials. It is already kno
 wn that a spectral gap inequality holds for the linearized Landau operator
  in  L^1\nwith Gaussian weight\, and\, moreover\, that solutions converge 
 towards the equilibrium in polynomial time. We prove an exponential in tim
 e convergence\, using an approach based on new spectral gap estimates for 
 the linearized operator in weighted L^1-spaces.
