DESCRIPTION:Aleksandar Protic’s lecture is absolutely for everyone based
in Cambridge during May holidays. Why? Because this motivational talk wil
l provide you with fantastic tools if you want to get involved in internat
ional communication\, project development and activism. Regardless how pro
fessional your career already got\, stay tuned for this highly personal jo
urney through UNESCO headquarters and The World Heritage in 4 languages. P
roudly brought to you by Cambridge University Russian Society: from Paris
to Saint Petersburg and back to Cambridge. \n\nAleksandar Protic\, the Fed
eral Counselor at The Federation of UNESCO Clubs of France\, organizes hig
h-level conferences and designs educational and scientific programs. He ha
d organized international exhibitions dedicated to Russian art\, and curre
ntly works on a joint analysis of Russia-Europe interactions and proposes
solutions to enhance them. Aleksandar had completed his Master studies in
cross-cultural communication at the Sorbonne University of Paris. After hi
s graduation at the International Diplomatic Academy\, he continued with e
xecutive education courses at Harvard and Cambridge. Back in France\, he s
tudied at the Prime Minister of France’s School of Public Administration
(ENA)\, where he gave lectures afterwards. Passionate about civil society
issues and about developing stronger impact through UNESCO Clubs\, Center
s and Associations\, Aleksandar gave lectures at many universities includi
ng Sorbonne and Oxford\, at UNESCO Headquarters\, in front of students\, s
pecialist and government representatives.\n\nThe UK is one of the countrie
s with the most developed UNESCO cooperation but paradoxically among the c
ountries with the lowest ad hoc civil society involvement. UNESCO\, the in
ternational reference for education\, science and culture\, is also a uniq
ue place where students can submit recommendations to Member States repres
entatives at the highest decision-making level. UNESCO Clubs propose many
ways for youth to engage the movement supporting some of the organization'
s goals. Tesla Memory Project is an example of a student initiative starte
d as a small project at Sorbonne University\, which had progressively reac
hed a international audience promoting scientific and universal values wor
ldwide. The objective of the TESLA Memory Project\, since 2009\, is to inc
rease awareness of: the life and work of Nikola Tesla\, of the global impo
rtance of science and of the World Heritage.\n\nOther partners and interna
