DESCRIPTION:Rho GTPases\, best known for their regulatory role
  in actin dynamics\, stimulate a variety of proces
 ses important in control of vascular function\, in
 cluding morphogenesis\, migration\, cell prolifera
 tion and adhesion\, cell survival\, gene expressio
 n\, vesicle transport and microparticle formation.
  Recent data implicate Rho GTPase RhoB in the regu
 lation of pulmonary vascular remodelling in pulmon
 ary hypertension. This lecture will discuss signal
 ling mechanisms involved in Rho-induced pulmonary 
 vascular dysfunction and identify potential target
 s for pharmacological intervention.
