DESCRIPTION:The recent discovery of the Higgs boson at the LHC has given u
s one of\nthe most important missing parameters in the Standard Model: the
Higgs\nmass itself. However\, the Standard Model Lagrangian is in fact\no
ver-constrained. This allows us to view the Standard Model as an\neffectiv
e theory with free parameters. We can then attempt to explicitly\nverify t
he consistency of the couplings with our SM expectations. To\nperform this
in the Higgs boson sector\, and conclusively test the\nmechanism of elect
roweak symmetry breaking\, measurements of the Higgs\nself-couplings are n
ecessary. These are possible through the study of\ntriple or double Higgs
production at colliders. In this talk\, I will be\nexamining the prospects
for such measurements\, briefly reviewing past\nstudies and examining the
prospects at the LHC\, focusing on Higgs pair\nproduction.\n
