DESCRIPTION:Here a polymer is modeled as a self-avoiding polygon in the si
mple cubic lattice. \nAll knots can be confined to a slab\, which is an ar
ea bounded by two parallel planes. However not all knots can be constructe
d in a tube\, which is an area bounded by two pairs of parallel planes. \
n\nIn this talk\, we discuss knots and links in a tube and estimate the mi
nimum length required for such a polygon to realize a knot type.\n\n
