DESCRIPTION:I will discuss the realization of non-abelian discrete gauge s
 ymmetries in field theory and string theory\, and present several classes 
 of string models exhibiting non-abelian discrete gauge symmetries. In mode
 ls of magnetized/intersecting D-branes\, the discrete symmetries impose no
 n-trivial constraints on Yukawa couplings\, and correspond to interesting 
 flavour symmetries in MSSM-like models.
