DESCRIPTION:It has been shown that non-geometric fluxes appear in ten-dime
nsional supergravity by performing a field redefinition. Following a simil
ar strategy in double field theory surprisingly allows for a geometric int
erpretation of these fluxes. More precisely\, the Q-flux appears as part o
f a dual curvature scalar\, reminiscent of the geometric flux f. The R-flu
x turns out to be a tensor and appears in the same way as the usual H-flux
does. Solving the strong constraint connects this formalism to the ten-di
mensional approach. Furthermore\, some recent lifts of four-dimensional ga
uged supergravity to double field theory can be matched.\n\n
