DESCRIPTION:Applied mathematicians rationalise about the natural world in 
 terms of cause and effect. Causality imposes a geometric ordering on the f
 abric of space and time. One can concoct oddities - eternal black holes - 
 where it is theoretically possible to access parallel universes and travel
  back in time.
