 to zoology. I became embroiled in the squalid sex life of dung flies just 
 before the behavioural ecology revolution was about to change forever the 
 study of behavioural adaptation.\nThis in turn lead to the pursuit of ques
 tions and concepts\; a life of theoretical modelling of sex\, conflict\,co
 ntests\, and other delights. It has been great fun."
