DESCRIPTION:The IPv4 address space is running out. Many a transition to IP
 v6 as the only answer to this\, but all recognise this as long and arduous
  process with many obstacles. This talk will provide descriptions and trad
 eoffs of a number of mechanisms for sharing IPv4 addresses while supportin
 g the transition to IPv6. This work has been done in conduction with Nejc 
 Skoberne\, Olaf Maennel\, and Jozef Woods at Loughborough. \n\nBio: Iain P
 hillips is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science a Loughborough University
 \, where he served as Head of Department for 3.5 years ending this summer.
  He is now taking sabbatical leave and as part of this spending 2 days a w
 eek at the lab. His research interests are network architecture and perfor
 mance including the Internet\, wireless sensor networks and ad-hoc network
